Q. What does Sallyvan mean to you?

A. It means enjoying working with young people. I have always been interested in

this type of work and I get a big kick out of young people knowing Jesus.

Q. What inspired you to go to church?

A. I have always been interested since a youngster and when I went to Sunday

School. I have been connected with church even before I went to Australia. I have

done lots of Services. When the kids were home in 1973 I became even more

involved in church life. This was a very vibrant church time.

Q. Why did you move back to England?

A. We felt the Lord calling us here.

Q. What is your favourite food?

A. Gammon steak or ice cream.

Q. what do you think the future of our church is?

A. I feel it is growing very well. We have a vibrant leadership with Denis. I am very

happy worshipping here.

Q. What is your favourite animal?

A. Lions are my favourite and I would love to cuddle one!

Q. How did you and Audrey meet?

A. I met Audrey when I first went to Australia. There was an organization called

Raw Commonwealth Society who met every so often and I attended. Audrey was

working at the desk, she saw my passport and my name Francis Drake and she

didn’t believe me. Coincidentally we met again when Audrey was out with her

friends she came back to my place and it went on from there.

Q. What is your favourite colour?

A. Red, because it’s vibrant (I think vibrant is the word for the day!)

We are called to be children of God, and as a part of His church we are commanded to love and encourage each other. We believe we must obey Jesus Christ's command to proclaim His Gospel to all the world.
